    Education & Experience

    Barbara Stevens obtained a Bachelor of Arts in French from California State University Northridge. She received her J.D. from the University of La Verne College of Law.

    In 1994, Ms. Stevens was appointed as a Workers’ Compensation Judge at the Sacramento Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board. In 1995 she transferred to the Bakersfield Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board and remained there until 2004.

    Since 2009, Ms. Stevens has been of counsel to the law offices of Berry, Smith & Bartell, a Professional Law Corporation. She brings her considerable experience to use in all of her cases, using her background in appeals cases to devise unique strategies that may help you obtain compensation.

    During her career, Ms. Stevens has been a participating panelist at the California Applicants' Attorneys Association Conference, lecturer at P.O.S.T. training classes, a WCAB Audit Unit Appeals Hearing Officer, and a participating panelist at the Northern California Defense Attorneys Association Conference.
